Challenges with anxiety, learning and/or attention challenges, autism, cerebral palsy etc. can benefit from the support of horses and experienced guidance.
Koot-Neigh works with physical, behavioural and cognitive challenges for therapeutic benefits.
Horses possess a unique ability to stimulate motor and emotional neuro sensitive qualities unequaled by machine. The equine partners in our herd asked
to support therapeutic clients are gifted at their jobs - they are trained, sensitive to needs, patient & calm.
Vaulting - with the security of handles, freedom of no saddle, as well as option for various positions and directions on the horse, can be an excellent modality.
Our services are customized to meet specific goals and abilities from one-to-one to groups . We partner time spent with the horse and instructor to the specific needs of individuals. Liaising with support staff, family and/or Occupational Therapists to stay current with client needs as well gain feedback is an important part of the process. Side-walkers as well as back/front spotters and helmets are used as needed for safety and instruction.
Please contact us for more information or to organize a visit/evaluation - so we can develop a program for your needs.

CC is a special needs young man. Although he is non-verbal, it's clear the joy he experiences when he's vaulting and spending time with the horses. Not only does he benefit emotionally but also physically. It's always a great day when we visit Koot-Neigh.

‘We are the parents of a 36 year old multi-handicapped wonderful son who walks with assistance. Several years ago he started therapeutic vaulting at Koot-Neigh and we noticed a difference in him almost immediately in his overall moods and behaviours - much more relaxed, calm and happy. Over time his balance improved. The horses are so gentle and seem to understand that Cameron is a wee different and needs some TLC. We thank Naomi and her horses for providing this special service to our son.

I told you as soon as I got here that I didn't like horses and wasn't going near them, was just going to sit over in the shade and watch. I can't believe I got through some fears and got on. Best of all, the horses and I talked without talking.
